Trump not expecting chaos on Election Day from his supporters
Former President Trump on Sunday said he does not expect his supporters to cause chaos on Election Day.
Fox News “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo brought up an apparent Election Day terror plot U.S. officials said they thwarted, and asked Trump if he expects to see chaos on Nov. 5.
“No, I don’t think [so],” Trump responded. “Not from the side that votes for Trump.”
U.S. officials said last week that they thwarted a plot by an Afghan citizen with ties to ISIS to carry out a terror attack in the U.S. on Election Day.
A crowd of Trump supporters breached the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, delaying the certification of President Biden's 2020 election victory.
Bartiromo asked Trump about the possibility of violence from migrants. Trump responded that he thinks the bigger problem is "the enemy from within," which he said should be handled by the military.
“We have some very bad people. We have some sick people, radical left lunatics, and I think … it should be very easily handled by, if necessary, by National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military, because they can’t let that happen,” Trump said.
