Trump: New Michael Wolff book 'total FAKE JOB'

President Trump on Sunday slammed a new book by author Michael Wolff, calling it “a total FAKE JOB."
“So-called ‘Author’ Michael Wolff’s new book is a total FAKE JOB, just like the other JUNK he wrote,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform. “He called me many times trying to set up a meeting, but I never called him back because I didn’t want to give him the credibility of an interview.
“Others in the Administration were also called, they reported his calls, and likewise, did not talk to him,” the president added. “I assume, however, he was able to speak to a small number of people, but not meaningfully. His other books about me have been discredited, as this one will be also.”
“All or Nothing” discusses Trump allies, including lawyer Boris Epshteyn and billionaire Elon Musk, according to a New York Times review published Friday.
“I am one who believes in commenting about FAKE NEWS, or made up stories, even if you have to ‘punch low,’ and shouldn’t be wasting the time required to do so,” Trump said in his Truth Social post.
“We had one of the Greatest Elections in History, and perhaps the Greatest First Month EVER, according to almost everybody, but Wolff doesn’t want to talk about that,” the president added.
During the first Trump administration, Wolff’s book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” caught the eye of many. The book portrayed the president as someone who didn’t believe he would have an election victory and faced difficulties with governing basics.
“'All or Nothing' takes readers on a journey accompanying Donald Trump on his return to power as only Michael Wolff, the foremost chronicler of the Trump era, can do it,” a description of Wolff’s book reads on the Penguin Random House website.
“As Trump cruelly and swiftly dispatches his opponents, heaps fire and fury on the prosecutors and judges who are pursuing him, and mocks and belittles anyone in his way, including the president of the United States, this becomes not just another election but perhaps, both sides say, the last election,” the description continues. “The stakes could not be clearer: Either the establishment destroys Donald Trump, or he destroys the establishment.”
The Hill has reached out to Wolff and Crown Publishing Group for comment.
