Trump knocks Fox News over RFK Jr. appearances
Former President Trump blasted Fox News for hosting Robert Kennedy Jr. on it airwaves this week.
"So bad that FoxNews puts RFK Jr., considered the dumbest member of the Kennedy Clan, on their fairly conservative platform so much. Competitive networks don’t want anything to do with him," Trump wrote on his Truth Social website Wednesday night. "He’s a Radical Left Lunatic whose crazy Climate Change views make the Democrat’s Green New Scam look Conservative."
Trump's post appears to be in reference to an appearance Kennedy, who is running for president as an independent, made on Fox host Jesse Watters's prime-time program.
During the appearance, Kennedy, who is polling well behind President Biden and Trump, said he was prepared to confront both over the national debt and argued he could defeat either of them.
Trump and his aides have ratcheted up their attacks on Kennedy in recent days.
In his social media post Wednesday, Trump said Kennedy "would be “easy pickins.”
"Republicans, don’t waste your precious vote on this phony Liberal Activist," the former president said. "With all of that said, he probably hurts Sleepy Crooked Joe more than “US!”
