Musk seeks to access taxpayer data; Trump attends Daytona 500
In its first major test of the new administration, President Donald Trump’s sweeping plan to reshape the federal government reaches the Supreme Court after a federal judge strikes down Trump’s attempt to fire the head of a government ethics watchdog. It comes as Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency is expected to seek access to highly sensitive computer systems that contain taxpayers’ personal information. NBC’s Garrett Haake reports for TODAY.
