Lobbying World: FTC, White House alum joins anti-monopoly watchdog
Elizabeth Wilkins will join the American Economic Liberties Project as a senior fellow. Wilkins comes from the Federal Trade Commission, where she was chief of staff to the chair and director of the Office of Policy Planning, and she was previously a senior adviser to the chief of staff in the Biden White House.
Jessica Monahan has joined Cozen O’Connor as a senior principal. Monahan joins the firm from Arnold & Porter, and she is a McGuireWoods Consulting, National Association of Counties and Squire Patton Boggs alum.
The Aerospace Industries Association has tapped Ryan McDermott to be vice president of national security policy. He was most recently with the Air Force’s cost and economics office.
Vincent Barnes is now senior vice president of government affairs at the AnnDyl Policy Group. Barnes was most recently senior vice president of policy and research at the Alliance to Save Energy.
Jennifer Rust joined Rich Feuer Anderson as a principal. Rust was most recently senior vice president and counsel at Porterfield, Fettig & Sears and previously worked with the House Financial Services Committee and its current ranking member Maxine Waters (D-Calif.).
The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) combined its government relations and public affairs practices into one department and named Jill Kozeny as executive vice president and chief advocacy officer. Kozeny, who joined ACLI in 2019, was previously chief of staff to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and spent a decade with the Senate Finance Committee.
ACLI also elevated Howard Bard to senior vice president and deputy general counsel, Scott Dixon to senior vice president and chief financial officer, Carrie Haughawout to senior vice president of life insurance and regulatory policy, and Maria Palacios to senior vice president and chief human resources officer.
