Live updates: Lawmakers race to avert shutdown; drone briefing set for House panel
Congress is barreling toward Friday's government funding deadline, with Republicans signaling they have a deal on a continuing resolution that includes disaster funding and assistance for agriculture.
The additions to the CR have some GOP members fuming. And given the House's rule requiring 72 hours between bill introduction and vote, the timing of the CR's release will push a final Senate vote likely into the weekend.
Beyond funding, House Intelligence panel members will receive a briefing on Tuesday afternoon on the drone sightings that have captivated the East Coast.
President-elect Trump made mention Monday in a press conference that he was going to sue over an Iowa Poll that wasn't reflective of his win in that state. He made good on that, suing the pollster and media, claiming "election interference."
