Live coverage: Rubio, Bondi head Trump nominee hearings
Half a dozen nominees to serve in President-elect Trump's administration are set to appear before Senate committees for confirmation hearings Wednesday.
The list includes former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Trump's nominee for attorney general; Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), his pick for secretary of State; Russell Vought, whom Trump tapped to head the Office of Management and Budget; and John Ratcliffe, the nominee to lead the CIA.
A busy week of hearings kicked off Tuesday when Pete Hegseth, Trump's pick to run the Pentagon, appeared before the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Also Wednesday, the Senate will continue considering the Laken Riley Act and President Biden is slated to deliver a farewell speech to the nation.
