Harris, Trump campaigns in overdrive: Where they'll be Sunday
Both U.S. presidential candidates, Vice President Harris and former President Trump, are in overdrive during the final stretch of the 2024 election, campaigning in battleground states to maximize support before Election Day.
Trump is slated to host a town hall-style event at the Lancaster County Convention Center on Sunday where he will likely discuss topics related to the economy, including inflation and employment.
The former president is also reportedly visiting a Pennsylvania McDonald’s on Sunday, vowing to “do everything” at the popular fast-food chain. He has claimed repeatedly on the campaign trail that Harris never worked at McDonald’s. The vice president has said she worked at a fast-food restaurant when she was an undergraduate student.
He is also set to host a barbershop event with Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) in Philadelphia at 4 p.m.. Donalds is a part of Black Men For Trump.
Harris will take part in a Souls to The Polls effort focused on Black voters. She will attend church services in Stonecrest, Ga., and she will then attend an event at Divine Faith Ministries International in Jonesboro on Sunday.
The vice president will also sit with Rev. Al Sharpton for an interview on MSNBC.
Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), will campaign in Waukesha, Wis., on Sunday. He is set to speak at Stein's Aircraft Services near the Waukesha County Airport.
On Sunday, vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) will attend a Sunday morning service at Victorious Believers Ministries in Saginaw, Mich. Walz’s wife, Gwen Walz, will launch a Get-Out-the-Vote canvass in Boulder City, Nev., on Sunday.
Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will host a small business event on Sunday alongside businessman Mark Cuban, a high-caliber surrogate who has campaigned with Harris on Thursday in Wisconsin.
Former President Bill Clinton will continue his bus tour through North Carolina. On Sunday, he will kick off a Get-Out-The-Vote event with faith leaders in Rocky Mount. Clinton, who has previously campaigned on behalf of Harris in Georgia, will also be with Nash County Democrats for a canvass launch on Sunday. Clinton will be in Raleigh for a block party with the North Carolina Democratic Party that will highlight early voting.
The race remains tight as early voting is underway in multiple states.
Harris leads Trump by 2.2 percent, 49.6 percent to 47.4 percent, nationally, according to the latest The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls.
