Flavor Flav objects after getting name-checked in Congress: 'Don't drag me into negative politics'

Flavor Flav is attempting to stop the clock when it comes to lawmakers name-checking him in Congress.
"I voted against the budget yesterday, not because I'm not for decreasing taxes, but because [of] Thomas Massie, who wears the debt clock," Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) said at a House Judiciary Committee markup Wednesday, referring to his Republican colleague from Kentucky.
"He's the Flavor Flav of Congress, walking around with a clock, and [he] says, 'We're going to add a trillion dollars to the deficit in three years,'" Moskowitz said of the lawmaker.
Massie — who's known to sport a "debt badge" he designed that "uses Wi-Fi to get the debt to the penny from Treasury once per day" — was the only Republican to vote against the House GOP's budget resolution Tuesday. He had said ahead of the vote that the legislation would add to the deficit.
On Thursday, Flavor Flav responded to Moskowitz's name-drop
"Don't drag me into negative politics," the Public Enemy rapper, who was born William Drayton Jr., wrote to Moskowitz on social platform X.
"I was on the frontlines and raising money for the wildfires," the 65-year-old performer said. "I buy teachers all their school supplies," he wrote.
"I truly support Americans in need. I'm here just to spread love and unity while uplifting others," said the entertainer, whose longtime signature look has included an oversized clock necklace.
"There's only one Flavor Flav," he added. "Ain't nobody like me."
Moskowitz then reassured Flavor Flav on social media that it "was a positive comparison based on the clock."
"All love," the congressman said.
