Eric Trump: My father will go down as one of the most 'remarkable candidates' in history
Eric Trump, one of President-elect Trump's adult sons, said Wednesday that his father will go down as one of the most “remarkable candidates” in history.
He joined Fox News’s Laura Ingraham 24 hours after polls began to close across the country to celebrate his father’s election victory.
“I think the media and this whole process has lost all of its credibility. I think my father will go down as truly one of the more remarkable candidates in history of this country and political figureheads,” Eric Trump said.
He added that he is “immensely proud” of his father.
The Hill and Decision Desk HQ called the presidential race for Trump early Wednesday morning. He skated to a second term after securing the critical battleground states of Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada and Pennsylvania. Results are still being counted in Arizona.
Eric Trump argued that he was happy voters chose his father because they knew “he didn’t need to be” running his third campaign.
“He could be enjoying his life at Mar-a-Lago, he could enjoy his grandkids. He could be playing the best golf courses in the world. He could just be enjoying life,” he said.
