Elon Musk already has a White House email address
On President Trump's first day in office, Elon Musk already has a coveted White House email address.
A source tells The Hill that Musk, the billionaire who will head up the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), that his email was already available as part of the Executive Office of the President's internal search function.
The source also showed The Hill a screenshot that showed Musk's new email address with the EOP suffix, which stands for executive office of the president.
"It seems to confirm he's going to have an EEOB office," the source said, using the acronym for Eisenhower Executive Office Building.
A source familiar with Musk's involvement with the incoming Trump administration says Musk will have an office in the EEOB. But it is unclear how often the tech maven will use that office space.
Musk was on hand for Trump's inauguration on Monday along with other tech chiefs including Meta's Mark Zuckerberg and Amazon's Jeff Bezos.
Even before Trump was sworn in on Monday, a couple of dozen hires have been made to work as part of the group where they have huddled in the offices of SpaceX, Musk's company.
The Washington Post reported on Monday that DOGE officials have been putting together a list of recommendations and largely communicate on the encrypted messaging app Signal.
