Election 2024 live updates: Trump flips battleground state of Arizona

Vice President Harris conceded the election Wednesday afternoon at the site that Democrats hoped would host a victory party on Election Day.

Hours after she called Donald Trump to congratulated him on his victory, she spoke to supporters at Howard University, encouraging them to "keep fighting."

Trump will return to the White House, with not only key swing states breaking his way Tuesday but surprising numbers of voters in traditionally blue states backing him, according to projections from Decision Desk HQ.

In Congress, Republicans took back the Senate majority after four years, though a handful of seats remain uncalled. Control of the House remains uncertain.
