Don Lemon quitting X: 'I once believed it was a place for honest debate'
Former cable news host Don Lemon says he is getting off of X, the social platform on which he launched a video show and content creation channel after being fired by CNN in 2021.
"I once believed that it was a place for honest debate and discussion, transparency and free speech," Lemon said in a short video posted on the site on Wednesday. "But I now feel it does not serve that purpose."
Lemon mentioned updates to X's terms of service and argued the platform caters to conservatives specifically.
The former cable pundit said he still plans to publish episodes of "The Don Lemon Show" on YouTube, Instagram and other social platforms.
Lemon joined X shortly after leaving CNN, but clashed with the site's billionaire owner Elon Musk in the months that followed.
