Confusion grows over Elon Musk demanding employee justification
There is growing confusion for federal employees as government leaders tell their staff they shouldn’t answer Elon Musk’s email ordering them to justify their job or face termination. The office that sent the email says responses are voluntary, but a new order from Musk makes it clear they're obligated to comply. “Failure to respond a second time will result in termination,” Musk posted on X. NBC’s Ryan Nobles reports for TODAY.
