Carville: No one wants to hear from Biden anymore
Democratic strategist James Carville said no one wants to hear from former President Biden anymore.
“What he’s done to himself is, no one wants to hear from this guy anymore, OK?” Carville said during Thursday's episode of his “Politics War Room.”episode from. “Just go to your condo in Rehoboth and stay there.”
“And that’s not because we’re bad people or we’re mean people,” he added, in a clip highlighted by Mediaite. “It was all his doing, all his doing, this entire thing.”
In a CNN poll released only a few days before Biden’s term ended, 36 percent said they are supportive “of the way Joe Biden is handling his job as president,” matching an approval rating the president received in June, which was the lowest of his presidency in the outlet’s polling.
The former president has had a difficult last year in the political arena that featured him having to step out of the presidential race after a rough debate performance. He also dealt with questions about his age and mental capability, as well as the legal struggles of his son Hunter Biden.
“Look, guy, you had a noble career, your last act was terrible, just get out of the way,” Carville said of Biden. “The party’s moving on. I mean, they’re really moving on.”
A recent CBS News and YouGov survey found 60 percent of respondents said they are optimistic about the return of Trump to the presidency.
The Hill has reached out to Biden for comment.
